You’ve probably seen lots of books with catchy phrases like “Start speaking English today!” The truth is, though, it’s not that simple. I won’t lie to you—learning to speak English fluently takes both time and effort. But the worst thing is to spend a lot of time and effort yet still not speak English fluently. This book will teach you the methods I developed that really work, so that if you put in the work, you will get the results.
In each chapter, I’ll take you through a different aspect of speaking English and explain how to learn and practice it. You’ll learn how to improve speed, pronunciation, and fluency while also picking up vocabulary, idioms, and colloquial language. You’ll also learn how to handle aspects of conversation like turn-taking, responding to others, and body language.
Have to take a speaking exam? Don’t worry—there’s even a chapter for that.
These methods I developed helped me not only succeed in my Japanese high school English classes but also get high scores on the TOEFL and Duolingo exams—and gain acceptance to colleges and universities in the US.
